Switching to Veli: the 7-day guide
If transitioning for allergy management: Begin the 7-day transition only when the previous food is finished. Do not introduce alongside other novel proteins. Day 1 should be 100% current food if switching from an already-sensitivity-neutral diet, or 0% old food if the current diet is the suspected trigger.

Venison is a novel protein, one your dog has most likely never encountered. It is ideal for elimination diets in dogs with allergies. Lamb is the classic everyday recipe.
Where does the venison in Veli come from?
The venison comes from Polish hunting grounds. It is wild game (not farmed), which means clean, lean meat with no antibiotics or hormones.
Why is venison good for dogs with allergies?
Venison + EntoPro™ is a formula of two novel proteins, neither of which appears in typical commercial dog foods. This means your dog's immune system has most likely never come into contact with them.
Isn't venison too "heavy" for a dog?
Quite the opposite: venison is leaner than beef or pork (lower fat content) and rich in iron and zinc. It is easily digestible, including for senior dogs.
